A reluctant Raymond accompanies Marie on a cruise, while Robert dances attendance upon Frank back at home. (Frank has twisted something and needs his help). Ray eats non-stop in his glum passive-aggressive way and seems perplexed by how much fun Marie is having with the passengers. A laugh-out-loud episode, a whole lot of fun!
The original Point Break with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves was not one of the towering classics of all time. It was quite an enjoyable caper.
Why this thing was re-made is a mystery; I can only speculate that someone, somewhere, told TPTB that 'I kind of liked Point Break back in the day. I remember that movie.' And because Hollywood is barren of any new ideas/terrified of not making enough millions to support their trophy wives and coke habits, they figured, 'yeah, people kind of liked Point Break back in the day, it's gonna be a sure thing. I mean, it's got Hawaii and water and a bank heist caper. What could go wrong?'
It doesn't matter. The story doesn't matter. The scenery doesn't matter. The extreme sports or whatever doesn't matter. People aren't going to flock to this thing because of any of that, yearning for a remake of a brilliant brilliant work of art.
This movie doesn't have Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, in all their young smoking hot glory. This movie lacks the 'ho-yay' element with its cast of nobodies.
That's my opinion. Look at it if you want, but if you've never seen the original, it is lacking. The remake is a timekiller and nothing notable.
