A nasty life form wreaks havoc in London in the 1950's. While the story itself is good, the film suffers from wooden performances throughout the cast. Decent camera work for a low-budget film. While the film tries to develop some horror and suspense, it cannot sustain it. This film really cannot be compared to American horror or sci-fi from the 1950's. Part of the film's problems, was that the British film industry was still trying to recover from the Second World War. Film cannot be recommended. Try American sci-fi films from the period instead. Them would be the better film to watch for a taste of the periods sci-fi.
Geostorm tries to be a sci-fi flick, political thriller and a disaster movie all.in one package. The movie swings and.misses at all three. The movie is an out. While the CGI is good, the script is a collection of predictable situations and dialogue. The characters are wooden. The movie wasted the actors skills. The premise of weather control is interesting. The editing and cinematography are fine. The outcome,.as with.most disaster films.is predictable. This film is made for sci-fi fans and adrenaline addicts. For others, this movie is a definite pass. This film is not recommended for families.
This is a formulaic Christmas romance. The only thing that stands out is that the story is set in Amish culture.
The characters are stock figures without much depth. The two leads do not have on-screen chemistry. The dialogue is wooden and all too predictable.
It seems the producers thought adding the word 'Amish' to the title would make the movie more popular, or at least draw more interest. It worked with me, but the movie failed to deliver. This movie is a trifle, which I guess it was meant to be.
There are better things to do during this season than watch this movie. This movie is not recommended.
