Brad Pitt, great actor. Loved almost all his movies. Fight Club, Se7en, Inglorious Basterd, even Benjamin Button and some others. I've enjoyed all of them. Sean Penn, another favorite of mine since I watched I Am Sam. He has that charisma that few have.
Went to this with a great expectation. Heck, the IMDb rating of 7+ usually indicates a good movie. After all, Brad Pitt and Sean Penn together? At the very least it should be watchable. But this movie, what the F? I kept giving it a chance. Kept saying to myself, come on, good part is coming. It never does. Wow. I don't even know if this qualifies as a movie. Movies usually have something called a plot.
This movie should be shown to prisoners as a form of torture. Seriously, force them to watch it every day. I'm sure there'll be much less repeat offenders.

Terrible...awful...well maybe not that bad, but it's certainly pretty bad.
Allow me to elaborate. I love the premise because it reminds me so much of Friends. Even the beginning when she walked out of the wedding is kind of like Friends' pilot episode.
The execution however, is sad. I don't know if it's the actors, the dialogs or the director's fault, probably all of them. It's just not funny, trying too hard to be funny and badly acted so it came off as fake and awkwardly annoying.
I have a feeling this series will be canceled soon. I'll give it one and a half seasons at most.

Looking at the reviews, I was partially convinced that this will be a disaster. I braced myself for the worst and came out strangely surprised at the likability of this show.
Lets face it, when you see Matt LeBlanc as the main actor, you expect "Joey". Boy does that show sucks. But thank goodness this is much different. Don't get me wrong, he's still playing the Joey role, but this time he's not the main focus, just like Friends. I think they've learned that the Joey character just can't stand on its own.
I hope they keep that recipe in this witty little series. I find myself falling in love with it.
