  • Enjoyable to watch

While I do not think that this is the best show to ever exist. I am enjoying the first few episodes so far. Not sure what this aired on but it has CW vibes. It's a little corny, but well made. The production values seem to be better than the first movie (20 years ago, woah!) so I'm not sure that means much. The introduction to the characters was pretty seamless, a nice quick introduction to the main character within the first probably 10 minutes of the show. They didn't just all randomly already know each other but by chance end up together. But in the same breathe their meeting was very quick as I stated within 10 minutes 5 unknown characters are all tagging along and best adventure buddies. Nonetheless I appreciate the story line and content and will watch if there is another season.

  • Possibly the worst movie I've ever seen

This is the slowest and most boring movie I think I have ever seen. The opening scene is basically the setting for the entire movie. People gathered around in a random house chatting. They are allegedly scientists and they just keep talking about hypotheticals while a boring elevator tune continues to play in the background. From what I could tell that was the premise of the entire movie. One guy thinks he is a caveman and keeps talking to convince himself, the others and I guess us s an audience that he is a caveman? I don't know. Even tho it's from 2007 it looks like it was filmed in 1997. The quality is just not there.

  • More artistic

I think this is a really interesting take on a documentary. We truly don't know everything about a society from thousands of years ago regardless of how many texts and artifacts are found. However a volcano happened to preserve nearly an entire town and we get a glimpse into the life there like no other site on earth. This documentary expands upon that and takes a more artistic approach into depicting the culture. This documentary is definitely not for everyone as it's quite unique and brings in a lot of artistic elements that one doesn't normally see in a standard documentary. I would say this first artistic cut aways of a Pompeiian myth is quite unnecessarily long. I had to check if I was watching the same show still.

  • Absolutely fantastic. 100% in her lane.

I am trying to figure out what makes this series so great. One I think it's not your typical travel show. "Look at my hotel. Watch me eat this thing you've seen someone eat a million times. Look at me take a picture in front of that typical thing." No. She takes us to an Uzbek wedding, talks to a female DJ in Kyrgyzstan exploring social topics. She is bold (in a polite way) and not shy or awkward. She is absolutely the right person for the job. She often is speaking or reading in the local language so she is on top of being beautiful she is also smart. I may be a little biased because I always have found Central Asia quite mysterious. Besides one other series (an Italian one about the Silk Road) I haven't seen many travel series that spend extensive amount of time in the region.

  • Having so much fun with this show

Is this the best show ever created? No it's not. But from the first scene I started having fun. The opener is actually a fight which normally I dislike but it was so comedic you have no choice but to laugh. Quickly we are introduced to two main characters, family and friends. I was instantly sucked in like I was part of the crew and i knew their background stories. I'm also LOVING the fact it's minority (racial and sexual) yet I'm 4 episodes in & there have been exactly ZERO stereotypes or low bar racial jokes. There are plenty of other jokes tho sometimes it's a little corny but there is worse out there (re: anything with a laugh track). This is a goofy with a sprinkle of mystery coming of age teen drama, I'd recommend it!

  • It's exactly what I expected

And I love it. I don't understand the people who willingly watch a romcom Christmas movie on streaming and decide this was the worst movie ever. Are there some out there that are just excruciating to watch? Absolutely. But this is one of many in the genre that doesn't disappoint. In retrospect some of the storyline is kind of cliche and predictable but you sign up for that watching this. I liked the characters even if some of them were a little flat (the guy who didn't talk). Brooke Shields is an excellent actress and played the role perfectly. I would have liked a little more layering of the narrative of the new book in the actual movie just to add some complexity to the story line. And another complaint would be the eventual love between the main characters was a wee bit tough to feel but honestly I'm ok with it. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and if you like Christmas romcoms this likely will not disappoint.

  • Are you kidding me?

This show is just so good. There is clearly a budget as there are some great actors, often filming out of country (granted a lot is staged but not all of it), tons of extras when cities are shut down or mass emergency. Also there is so much action that normally I'd say it's too much or not plausible but the foundation of the story is so well laid that the pieces are all there. Nothing seems to be forced but sometimes it moves so fast I'm like what is happening. I've always been a fan of Téa Leoni and this show beyond solidifies that. After staying in the same hotel as Biden and seeing our federal agents in action in real life my family was left in awe it was the highlight of our trip. They run deep with people of expertise everyone looks and acts smart and are about their wits you just sense it. This show really conveys that exact same energy as real life (albeit this is a drama I'm not dumb haha). With that being said I'd highly recommend this series as something being well written well made and a series apart of the rest.

  • Very enjoyable

Falling for Christmas was everything you can ask for in a holiday rom-com. Full of super corny unnecessary moments but it was also really entertaining. It was clearly well written and produced as there is a definite factor that sets it apart from most hallmark/lifetime movies of similar themes.

All of the characters were like able in their own way. And the story line developed pretty well & kind of went on longer than I thought it would, but I mean that in a good way. I actually found myself getting slightly teary eyed towards the end. To me it was exactly what I hoped for. I think Lindsey's acting was on point and she turned it out!

  • I was entertainied

I've now seen this a couple times. Sometimes the acting can be a little dull and the script sometimes took some excessive liberties in realistic possibilities. The visual effects were really good and the story took a lot of turns to keep you engaged. But I don't think this it's as bad as people are currently rating. IMDB has been getting more harsh I've noticed over the years. I used to never watch anything below 6 but now 5.

I'd recommend to give it a try especially if you live space films with human evolution theories and alien tech. It's not quite at the caliber of Prometheus but overall I think it's an enjoyable film and everyone these days has expectations that a film should have a one billion dollar budget and have a million awards to give a decent review.

  • A chore to watch

This was like if you asked a high school class to write a play. So many cliches stereotypes and just pathetically obvious next turns. The. Saving grace was indeed Belen Rueda she was the only believable character. Meanwhile the brides family was so obnoxious they were more like cartoon characters than humans in a movie. All in all I could not wait for the second the movie ended. Unfortunately I was meant to endure it with my partner who happened to love it. Good luck to all.

  • I am confused

This entire season is just blah. I do not connect with any of the characters except captain Pike, I think he executes his role the best. Everyone else I just feel like they are actors and I'm behind the scenes watching actors repeat lines. I'm just not feeling it whatsoever!

I'm no trekkie or purest, I'll take the story any way you want to give it. Perhaps that is my problem because it does seem like a lot of fans love it.

  • A lot rested on dr strange

Almost the entire story line weighed upon the magic of strange and Spider-Man begging for his help. Dr. Strange has always been a hard ass yet for this film he was bending over backwards doing universe destroying magic just to help Spider-Man and his friends get into MIT. The whole story line was just whack.

  • Crazy title, wild story, fun time

I was throughly entertained. I keep seeing comments saying dull and predictable. There is no way you could have known the ending. People just love to complain and act like they could write brilliant pieces for Netflix...

This is a crime drama done right. There is some personality and quirk to it. Sure the story gets a bit far fetched, but who cares it's not a documentary and none of it is so wild that it doesn't make sense.

I generally do not sit long enough to watch entire movies but this Monday evening in January after work I watched this series in its entirety.

  • I was just tortured

By the ad for this show that hasn't even aired yet. I want that 50 seconds back and I want it back now. I saw a man being pummeled in the groin for laughs and giggles on a massive stage for a production in the millions. Absolutely pathetic television. I sincerely hope this show fails. It is insulting to my intelligence not unlike the masked singer and maybe a few other current shows who's names escape me.

Yes, the reviews that do not enjoy this movie are accurate. Being part of a slow cancer death for 30 minutes is not entertaining. It was decent acting, possibly too realistic? But the story took too long to go anywhere and eventually became basic action movie hoohaa that anyone could write/direct with some money.

I know a lot of Melissa's movies get lower ratings and I'm not sure why. They are comedic, have entertaining story lines, and over all enjoyable to watch in my opinion. This film gave me quite a few laughs, it was fun to follow along. Was it the best movie I've ever seen, no but worth my time.

  • Dictionary definition documentary

This is my absolute favorite documentary of any genre. The correspondent, Alfred, takes us on a journey from Europe to China along the Silk Road. He takes us into cultures that are to this day apart from the global connected society. He does it effortlessly and the entire series is like a movie. I was so captivated that I didn't even realize until the third episode that I was watching in English even though it was filmed in French and whatever local language of the region they were in. I've watched the series twice now. Highly recommended.
