This is my first review in quite some time on IMDb. I feel that 'Lowlifes' deserves a big audience, and rightfully so. I'm almost certain this film is destined to become a cult classic. It's fresh. It's fun. And, last, but not least, it's an entertaining romp with an early twist I, for one, was not expecting. I won't reveal what that is, just watch the movie already.
I really don't want to say anything about the film. The characters. The plot. I feel that in doing so, much will be lost on those who read this and then watch the movie.
It is free to stream, with ads, on Tubi. The streamer is my go to for 80's horror. And horror in general. It's chock full of it. They have a gem in their streaming library with this "Tubi Original". It's well made for its budget. Well written. Well directed. And well acted. And the fact that it's free to watch helps. With that said, if you're reading this, do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
