A Wiseguy Christmas

  • Terrible acting, avoid

"A Wise Guy Christmas" unfortunately falls short in delivering a compelling experience. The characters seem to lean heavily on stereotypes, lacking the depth needed for an engaging narrative.

The lead actor's attempt at an Italian accent feels forced, his speech pattern is laughable, it's as if he can't read. The lead character is borderline racist and fails to capture authenticity.

The overall standard of acting is disappointingly subpar, reminiscent of a pre-school nativity play rather than a professionally produced film. It's a missed opportunity to create a more nuanced and genuinely entertaining holiday experience.

  • Seeringly bad

An absolute waste of 53 minutes

No character development coupled with a derivative plot (jingle all the way is a far better film).

Every detail of the film is terrible and too numerous to mention in a short review.

The storyline lacks depth, relying heavily on predictable and clichéd tropes. The humor feels forced, often resorting to lowbrow jokes that miss the mark. The characters lack development, making it challenging to invest in their journey.

Overall, the short struggles to offer a fresh and engaging experience, resulting in a disappointing viewing experience for those seeking more than just superficial laughs.

Steven merchant gives his usual smug performance. Chaudhry is surprisingly unfunny, but admittedly didn't have a lot to work with. His character is one note, one farty note.

There are no other characters in the short, none. Which says it all really.

Made for tv, better suited for landfill.
