My hearing is good, and I'm generally pretty good with accents, but I sure would have appreciated closed captioning for this film.
Having said all that, I was taught in acting class to turn off the sound and just watch a film without it. And if you could follow the storyline, that was good acting...so this was good acting.
The actor playing Charlie was exceptional. I've seen him before and spent much of the time wishing I could open my phone to investigate him, like I can at home.
I also liked Herb, too, as well as the shop clerk.
The other two characters could have been played by anyone. Especially the husband.
All in all? I loved it.

The Marine that went to war.
What better time to rewatch this movie in honor of Ira Hayes right after Trump erased him from the Department of Defense website. For no other reason than he was not a white man. Of all the men there that day, I only remember the name of one of them. That man is Ira Hayes. He was ordered to sell war bonds around the country afterwards which made him uncomfortable because he did not consider himself a hero. He never recovered emotional after finally returning home. Johnny Cash explains it better in his song of the same name The Ballad of Ira Hayes. Go listen on YouTube. #DEI.

So much better than the Golden B series. Michelle Obama has a hit on her hands.
The seniors are all a bunch of characters. Some you love and some not so much. But then they get the right match and you look at them in a whole other light. It was fascinating to watch the transformations.
The counselor knows her business.
The 'kids' who are already adults make it interesting, too, because of their vacillating embarrassment and love for their parent.
I thought I would watch just one episode to start but ended up binge watching it all. You probably will, too, so allow enough time. If you have to get up the next day, don't start it that night.
