I stumbled upon this film by accident, and I was pleasantly surprised. I read a lot of bad reviews and was preparing myself to watch an awful movie like D@bbe 2. However, this movie was far from disappointing.
Was it scary? Not at all. Was it entertaining throughout? 100% yes. The movie is hilarious. The dialogues and character were real-life like and likable. I laughed all the way through the movie. There was a lot of swearing yes; but I think Turkish people are the only ones who can merge humour and swearing as successfully as they do.
The film is very low budget, no special effects or striking scenes; but I appreciate it exactly for that - its simplicity. It's innovative and refreshing to see such a piece of work in Turkish cinema.
People are complaining it did not make sense and there were plot holes, lack of emotion in acting etc. However, they seem to have missed the point. This is a light hearted film that is supposed to make us laugh; the zombie theme is just a backdrop.
All in all, I recommend it wholeheartedly and advise people to watch it without expecting a serious zombie movie or anything with deep meaning. That is not the purpose of this film at all.
It was hilarious, new, refreshing, and at least now we can say Turkey has a zombie movie. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
