Much has been said about the film visually, it was spectacular and especially impressive on the 80M budget, bummed I did not see on the big screen. In fact, practically everyone agrees that this movie has everything going for it; Directing, Acting (a few argue here only), Effects, etc except where it comes to the script.

The script is the hardest thing to get right in a movie. I think its better than 75% of the movies out there, which is part of where my 8 rating comes from, it does have flaws though no question there, but souless? Not even close. Derivitive? Nope, ofc it was inspired but it is no cut & paste. Emotionless? Again no, but this will depend on the viewer to some degree just like your overall enjoyment. There could have been some more character development that would have helped here besides the 2 main characters, but it is there for them and their relationship, and it will tug at your heart strings.

Some viewers really let some smaller plot flaws pull the movie down for them, unfortunate, and also because it makes a sequel less likely. I can understand where they are coming from and most of them were balanced in their reviews and still rated 6 or 7. For sure, with some more development this could have been a Grand Epic Classic, the potential was there and the Trailers were so good it made us think we were getting it, hence somes disappointment. For me, I'm just appreciative it was as good as it was and I chose to overlook some of the weaker points in the plot, I also had my expectations in check due to waiting. This is what I recommend new viewers do to get the most out of it.

Writing, Directing, Acting - the key 3 are all fabulous. So many movies just don't have a good enough Scipt, this one is just excellent. A very inspiring story written in a realistic way, with enough intrigue & tension to keep your interest the entire way through. I kept hoping it would not let me down anywhere and it did not.

Actors were perfectly chosen for their roles, and with the great direction it comes together beautifully. Character Development and Reltionships were built up perfectly, really it is hard to find any meaningful fault in this movie at all.

Can't believe I have not watched this until now. It deserves a 10/10 I just can't pin it as one of few favs that get that rating. Bravo.
