This movie had no direction, the acting wasn't great, and I believe it only did anything at the box office because of Brandy Norwood and Kathryn Hunter. Fell so short I thought about stopping before the ending. The husband was the wrong pick and maybe the director too. I can't believe this went to theaters and not straight to Tubi (and I LOVE TUBI). Brandy should have used her name for something else. The movie should have provided more details or at least eluded to more information. If more details had been provided, it could have been better. Though it was his stepmother there should have been details about their relationship background.
In the beginning, I thought there was no way this could be actually funny without them overdoing to many comedic scenes. I'm so glad I was proven wrong. I was in tears of laughter the entire time. Watching the spiral of each of them as the maneuvered through each scene was fun and surprising. Each of them (Bryce Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Nick Mohammed) understood the assignment which was don't break character and make the audience laugh until they pass out. Orlando Bloom is such a great actor with a range that exceeds him but Bryce Howard and Nick Mohammed did not allow him to outshine them. Prime has really been putting great movies out and I'm here for it.
The comedy aspect used in this versus the first one was a great concept. I enjoyed the action, plots, actors, and the thrill. At one point I thought the brother would be killed when he exited the bus and it had me on pins and needles. The action could have carried this movie alone but the chemistry between Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal is absolute gold! Ben Affleck tailored everything in him to cater to this role in which he mastered in this and the first one. Jon Bernthal being the wild and crazy brother suits him perfectly. There was not a full scene in this movie. I rarely watch movies more than once but this is one I will have to add to the list.
