I think this is Tubi's effort to prove with a minimal amount of investment that they could make an Amityville film that is still waaaay better than the majority of Amityville cr@pfests that are out there, a lot of them currently in the Tubi roster themselves.
The gore wasn't bad, the blood was the right colour, the special effects were low grade... however, it would have been nice if they made one that isn't a reboot of one of the 'canon' films... even for the sake of parody, like "The Amityville Diaper" or "The Amityville EV" or "The Amityville POTUS"...
and i think anyone who gives this a really low score has not seen any or many of the other mockbusters that continue to be churned out.

I can only see these guys getting better over time. For a small family run production company they cover most, if not all aspects of their productions, including most of their own music (H6LLB6ND6R is on bandcamp). Even the practical effects were really decent, all things considered. Sure there were some things i didn't really care for, but i think it's important for people like this to exist and be out there, making things they want to make. Great things can be created with little in the way of tools (and/or money), and they did a good job in that regard. I'll definitely need to check out their previous work, and of course looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.
I love ghost stories and movies but it feels like it would have been an outright lie if they had said this was BASED on "true events" instead of INSPIRED by "true events". So I'm picturing the creators sitting around discussing actual ghost stories and wanting to make something spooky and handing it over to someone who probably only worked in advertising before who had a limited knowledge of the supernatural, that being movies like Poltergeist. Throw in a mid-1990s daytime television budget and this is what ended up being trodded out.
