As somebody who typically does not resonate with the usual portrayals of romance & relationships in mainstream movies, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself rooting for the budding romance gradually brewing between Jack and Rose.
The strong themes addressing class divide, economic disparity, women's empowerment, and free will really struck a chord. I genuinely enjoyed watching two passionate individuals bridge the gap created by society's outdated norms and structure.
That said, I can't quite say the same for the non-romantic parts, particularly the disaster scenes. It might sound strange since I generally love spectacle-driven moments, but I found myself way less engaged there.
Perhaps it is solely due to having seen so many disaster movies or just my own lack of interest in those segments.
Still, I have to give credit where it is due, to none other than Mr. James Cameron for his vision and ambitious ideas that brought to life one of if not the most revered romantic story of all time.

Every time I immerse myself in the vibrant world of Ghibli's animations, my admiration for the talented artists and visionaries involved only deepens. The visuals are simply stunning here there's not a single flaw to be found.
The sound design and overall background score are just as impressive; they create a soothing and uplifting atmosphere that beautifully complements the themes explored in the story.
On the topic of themes, I really appreciate how the writing promotes self-acceptance and compassion while weaving in a powerful anti-war message that advocates for pacifism.
However, I feel that their sincere intentions at times led to a narrative that feels a bit overstuffed, particularly in the latter half, which diluted the delivery and lessen the impact of those important connotations.
Despite that, I truly enjoyed this fantastical journey, and the charming characters really helped me connect with their goals and aspirations.

Among its multitude of qualities, the most remarkable is its undeniable relevance, even two and a half decades after its first theatrical release.
The film adeptly explores themes such as failed teenage romance, mid-life crises, nostalgia, childhood innocence, and the loss of a parent, all portrayed with an astonishing sense of realism.
Furthermore, the masterful juxtapositions within the narrative illustrate that our lives often resemble endless cycles. The more one seeks to escape these patterns, the more one seems ensnared in inevitable repetitions, where time alters only the faces involved, not the experiences they endure.
I appreciate how the film simultaneously critiques the perceived 'pointlessness' of existence while also imparting valuable lessons on how to embrace life, facing the struggles and challenges that accompany our journey.
Surprisingly, this dichotomy is not jarring; rather, it is invigorating to see a filmmaker adopt a balanced perspective on life, perceiving it neither as a burden nor as a veritable blessing.
