  • 1 (awful) out of 10

This is the worst "documentary" I have ever seen in my life. Not that I am a One Direction fan anyway or anything but still all that means is I went in with zero expectations and still was blown away by how unbelievably awful this is. The only thing worse would be to hand a bunch of kids a video camera and let them tape themselves go to the beach, ride in a bus, do some shows for their friends, because basically that is what this "professional documentary team" has given us here with this band. They're not a terrible band as far as boy bands go, with OK voices and dance moves, but most boy bands stink and this one is no different. Play some instruments well or something! What is the point of these guys? Almost as little point as there is in this movie existing, watching a bunch of guys pretending to be younger than they are and desperate to look "real" and "cool". Skip this movie if you don't want to get the strong urge to stick knives in your eyes and ears.

  • A lot of fun to watch!

This short isn't perfect but it was made as part of Toronto's 48 hour film challenge. Basically the whole thing including all the editing and effects have to be done and in their hands in 48 hours no exceptions. I was on another team and this wasn't the best film but it was for sure the funniest. OK so there weren't many comedy entries but this was still super funny. As a Star Wars fan I really loved it. It is about a guy who tries to convince his girlfriend that they are living beside George Lucas even though it's just a nice guy who looks like George Lucas. I give it 6 out of 10 which is high marks considering that when you make something in 48 hours there will definitely be a lot of problems that otherwise wouldn't be there. Our film won a couple prizes and even it had some bad edits that were embarrassing to watch. Great job to the people who made this one and I hope you will shoot a full length version of it! There were a lot of great entries the last 2 years so if you're a film maker check out the competition on line!
