I am really downrating this because it just grated on me. I have watched several seasons of Once Upon a Time series. Initially I enjoyed it, but then is started to bore me a lot. I stopped watching the series. Watching this became Deja Vu. A number of the actors I recognized from Once Upon a Time--That part was amusing. The main actress, Sophie Lowe, as Alice, I was wrong for Alice. This immediately gave me a negative feeling. Maybe it was also the interpretation of Alice. I also disliked Michael Socha who played the second most important character. And all the sword fighting with Alice being so competent with a blade. Where would she have gotten that much skill. I think should skipped all the sword fights. The original Alice tale did not have sword fighting. Seemed like just wanted to have sword fighting because it is the rage.
I really liked this show. I really could not believe when i discovered the actress was the same one that played in The Witch, Kim Da-mi. Such a different part, and she did such a good job on this series. What also surprised me was that she is quite tall at 170 cm, but came across as very petite which considering that she was playing a character that seemed more like a teenager than a professional profiler who had to at least be in her 20's. A lot of humor in the show, and suspense--who was the murderer, and are there more than one murderer. They also seem to do a really good job with the Cinematography with the way them seem to put the right emphasis with the camrea.
This movie is basically just constant fight scenes, which immediately is not what I like. The fight scenes look very staged to look like she is doing such a great job of defeating them, but all of it looks so artificial. And how she manages to keep on taking the punishment, because it is not like she is not getting beaten, and it does not seem to affect her ability to fight. The scene with her fighting the last guy who is the most capable with a bullet in her arm. And of course treating herself like sewing up her arm, and digging out a bullet. And without the fight scenes there is not much left of the movie.
