Being in my late 50's this was a show that was very emotionally relatable. I really enjoyed Ted Danson's character. He was such a good actor in this role. Very likable and heartwarming while not being portrayed as dumb or backwards for "his age". I enjoyed the reality of the love and awkwardness of his relationship with his daughter and the progress they made. The only fail in my opinion was the role of the three grandsons. They made the kids look like complete idiots and it was very cringe to get through those scenes. If there is another season, which I hope there is, I hope they make the kids be more intelligent and likable.
I came across this film while browsing through free YouTube movies. It is a sweet, innocent western film. A beautiful wholesome story of how a little girl changed the course of four orphan boys lives forever and brought the best out in them. I like that this is a film that the entire family could enjoy watching together. I was afraid to watch it when I read some of the reviews but I'm glad I did watch it because instead I found that I enjoyed watching it. After all the crud filled movies that are out, it was refreshing to find one that reflected sweetness and goodness in this world. Maybe that's why people have a hard time with it because they don't know how to enjoy innocent movies.
