Scores maximum of 5 to me. Not 7.9 A dramatisation of interpreted events. Very very little actual footage or interviews, or any coverage of Bali laws and processes that the death penalty (and its preparation) that Indonesian law goes through.

Focused instead on the (perceived) injustice (put on convicted criminals) of the death penalty and pushing the message (opinion) that the death penalty is wrong.

Anticipated a combination of the psychological reflections of committing crime AND being given the death sentence. No references to their assimilation of choices that lead to their consequences. No background to their drivers or desire to profit from crime/drug smuggling. No insight on previous history. No update on the families.

Not worth the viewing time.

I watched the film and enjoyed it/the plot beyond the low rating I had seen. Give it a watch.

BUT .... The STUPID voice of the 'Let's play a game' voice over/recording ..... I was waiting for it to finish off it's description of the captives crimes by saying 'I want to be known as a good Doctor... not a good autistic Doctor' (Which is an Australian TV show that I also won't watch because the voice the actor uses to portray his autistic character is irritatingly off putting).

Please Lionsgate.... Put a voice in that recording that fits the 'thriller' you are branding. Frighten me with a psychopath.... Think Silence of the Lambs 'you will rub the cream in'. Instead of Dick Emery .... 'Oh you ARE awful!' Looking forward to seeing if you pick up on this fit the sequel.

This movie is dreadful. Don't waste any time on this. Bad plot. No 'horror' factor. Terrible depiction of the church and those who believe in religion (and I'm an atheist). I cannot believe Jeffrey Dean Morgan put his time (and name) to this terrible plot. Must have been a low budget 'do your best with this' project.
