  • Dark but interesting, or, interesting but dark

This message of this movie doesn't really match how the movie was carried out. The soundtrack was overused with continuous piano in several scenes lending to a melodramatic feel. Instead of letting the viewer come to a conclusion, the music insists you must feel this way about the story. To me it was depressing at these points of the movie and it overtook the movie.

The actors did a good job. The cinematography was just right for the dream scenes. I appreciate that some things were left to the viewer to come to understand rather than being explained (how the shop owner dressed). I think the movie should have went on more at the end to show things coming to fruition for the shop owner, and thus, not having the movie be so dark.

The movie could've been family friendly, with a change of a couple scenes. Very small things - an in-bed scene with cleavage and suggestive position, and just a couple curse words. Otherwise, it's pretty clean and nonviolent, which is appreciated.

I would've enjoyed the movie without the overpowering soundtrack and if the focus was changed a bit especially at the end.

The genre is listed as Drama, Romance, and Sci-fi and that's a odd combination illustrated well with this movie! If you feel like watching any of the above genres, this is a fine pick with enjoyable actors.

  • Hard to Suspend Disbelief

The plot could have been carried out better as it is interesting. But...the main character is experiencing a crisis (dog running away) which doesn't bother her after the first scene it occurs in! This is frustrating scene after scene, as there is no sense of urgency and an unrealistic interest in other matters (socializing). It could have been an interesting plot but it was a poor choice to use this scenario. As someone who has lost a pet and never had him return, it was just hard to watch. It was good that they kept having sighting of Henry though. But still, the couple behaved in an unrealistic fashion in regards to the scenario.

It was disappointing to see the lawyers introduced as a married couple simply to serve an agenda, yet again. As another reviewer pointed out, it makes the movie not family friendly. I won't recommend it or watch it with family.

The style of flashbacks to the beginning of the relationship was a nice change, but the script involving a big city move and ending the relationship has been done before (so we already know how the movie ends).

There were endearing parts to the movie. Henry finding the female lead when he was a puppy is one example.

  • Hiring tactics lowering quality of movies

The male lead seems effeminate, thus not believable in the role, so I couldn't watch all the way through.

Hallmark, you've done it again. How can all those resources just be wasted like that all for sake of a preferential hiring. If you put people in roles they can't play, it disrupts the vibe of the movie.

The characters were pretty unlikable at times, not much of any depth, and there were effeminate men in the wrong roles, and why was the male lead so childish?

The story seems more original than other hallmark movies but does feature cliches and some cardboard acting at times. The sound does seem unbalanced through some parts, as another reviewer mentioned.

  • Mr Right

I haven't finished watching this yet....

So far, I didn't like how the lead female character was made up, and looking like a particular Hallmark actress (who looks unusual). The guy's look was also over the top. I found these aspects distracting from the movie.

I enjoyed the story premise but it got too serious for my taste. I was wanting to watch something light, not get into the drama category.

Some dialogue by the lead actress contained improper grammar:calling someone a "they/their". The first time could've been to not reveal identity, but after the next few times, it was clearly a misuse of the word (another distraction).

The script had depth even though it's a pretty common theme.

I don't know if I'll watch the end because the way the character was acting towards the guy was irritating. I appreciated how they had her show concern for integrity in her work. The friend was a good actress and character to include.

  • Veering off course

Story and chemistry was lacking from what I remember.

Lead female was too polished and perky in regards to wardrobe (why shame natural small chested figures by insisting on padded, push up bras?). She often stood as if modeling so it seemed pretty unnatural, which was another distraction.

Another reviewer mentioned the cinematography having too much blurring of the background in many scenes. I agree with that. It's a waste of being on location if you're going to blur it.

Agree with another reviewer who mentioned the music being out of place. Too much music rather than getting to enjoy the natural setting that a golf course offers.

The part about the obnoxious caddy was not believable. She wouldn't have had him on the job in the first place.
