I rarely submit a review as I am usually three or four years behind most of the commentors and all that needs to be said has been, but since there were no comments on this film and there needed to be, here goes. I did not watch the entire film. I couldn't. Two things stood out in the 45 minutes I watched. The acting was as amateurish as I have seen. Some acting seemed natural, but most reminded me of a grade school play complete with prompter. Second the "battle scenes" were being performed by enactors who fired their weapons into the air or the ground and stood around like there was anything but a battle going on. It might be worth a watch to see what really bad acting looks like but otherwise, don't bother.
I'm sure when people put together a motion picture their intent is not to make a cheesy piece of uninteresting drivel, but you wouldn't know it from this one. It's not so bad as to make you wretch or gouge out your eyes but it really just isn't worth the time. Watch it if you have nothing better to do which would be almost anything.
When I saw the pilot I had the same feeling as when I first saw Dead Like Me. It's different, grabbing, quirky, well written and well acted. Mark me down as a fan.
