The first episode ok, then it was just long scene after long scene. Nothing about the murder and just intimate moments between family members for 20 minutes at a time. A ton of dialog. It started feeling awkward at times, because it was just unnecessary. Then after a long agonizing third episode, it just ended. I was expecting some more inside into the murder. Maybe a reenacting of the incident. No court scenes, the case never even got to the hearing. The officers from the first episode weren't in the final two. Really weird. I was really looking forward to this but was thoroughly disappointed.
First of all is the ending. What??? I thought there was like 30 min left and when I paused it, it's says 8. I'm wondering how they're going to end this is less than 8 min. Well, actually there was more like 2 min left after all the credits roll. Morgan Freeman's character seemed like he was about to do something that would greatly impact the plot but the movie pretty much ended.
The story was good enough to get me interested and I liked the actors. Acting was, meh but not horrible. I feel like this should have been a limited series. With the story starting in Rome and moving to the states, it could easily be stretched out to tell the story more thoroughly.
Oh well, it was entertainment and had some good laughs (not intentional).
