From start to finish, this is a magnificent looking movie, and I can't wait to see the second and subsequent films in the series as they are each released in their turn.
Apart from some locations that may or may not have been filmed in some of America's northern states, most of the scenes are located in and around Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon and neighbouring areas (that is, Utah and Arizona).
Horizon manages to avoid most of the obvious Western clichés, although having said that, any Western set in Monument Valley probably counts as a cliché just by virtue of its location. But don't let that stop you from seeing this magnificent film on the biggest theatre screen available. It is wonderful to look at, and it has been years since I have seen a Western as good as this.

I have travelled extensively on New York City's subway system, and it never feels as dark and gritty as DiCillo depicts it in 'Down In Shadowland'.
I note that DiCillo concentrated his camera on some of the stations on the oldest subway lines servicing the outer boroughs, especially the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn, rather than the new 2nd Avenue line, or those servicing the stunning Oculos complex.
Having said that, the New York City subway system has a life of its own; one that is like a microcosm of the world above, and DiCillo does a fantastic job of capturing that underground world with all its varied humanity.

From memory this is the first Bosnian series/film I have ever seen - and I'm 75 year of age!
THE HOLLOW/KOTLINA, is far and away one of the better short series it has been my pleasure to watch recently, and if the producers want to follow it up with another series, I will be sure to watch it. In deed, given the way the program ended, it was tailor made for a second series.
All the performances are solid and believable, and the locations suitable grey and uninviting (my apologies to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina). There were several clever references to other - mostly Hollywood-made - movies, which I won't give away here, and a surprise twist at the end of the final episode that I for one did not see coming.
I caught the series on SBS, the Australian television station, and highly recommend it to those with access to that network.
