  • This is an amazing show that it's not being mentioned enough

When I first saw the trailers for this show my reaction was, oh no, another story about the struggles of poverty and war, and while there's a lot to that is told in a very interesting way where you can see the details of Korean lower class and it's interaction with the Japanese middle class.

I love reading subtitles to have the experience of the original actor/voice/culture so much is lost in dubbed scenes, and in this show they make sure you can understand when someone is speaking Japanese or Korean and why the miscommunication happens on normal circumstances.

The show subtitles Japanese in blue and Korean in yellow so it makes an unique experience, besides the dialogues and acting are very good.

This show explains to us (mainly westerners) the conflicts and collaborations between the Koreans and Japanese told from the Korean side and how they suffered the Japanese oppression but also how they thrived despite it, lovely show, can't wait for the second season.

  • Who says reality can't be romantic ?

This movie is one of the few experiences where I started watching with high expectations and then having those expectations surpassed by a good amount, the dialogue and situations are even better and feel even more real than on the other 2 parts, director Linklater closes the trilogy with an absolute masterpiece , both Ethan Hawk and Julie Delpy are brilliant, they present a rich and genuine performance of the complicated meaning of married life even when there's doubtless presence of real love, and that's what's so wonderful about this installment , that they show how difficult and complicated real love is.

I don't want to spoil the ending because for me it was an amazing even though uncomfortable experience not knowing if such love would survive, at times you think it does, at times you think its doomed, the beautiful writing takes you along the ride with a mastery seldom seen in such movies.

This experience could hit too close to home to some people because it touches many of the common conflicts between men and women, but never undermining or over representing either of them. I believe the balance is just perfect here, some may disagree or not, but I truly believe this movie is a wonderful example on how love can be between men and women .

  • Great original story, weird and awesome

I loved this movie although I didn't expect it too, finally we get an original story with an original script and brilliant directing.

I see so many bad reviews it's mind blowing, those people didn't get it, and felt shocked by the development of the story, it's common for movies like this one to get these types of criticisms, so many people want tired and predictable formulas, no wonder so many superhero movies are so popular.

We should get movies like this one that breaks the mold more often, Emma Stone is perfect, the rest of the cast is as well but this is her movie, it was meant to thrive or sink with her, and she took it to incredible heights in a funny and quirky way. Brilliant!!
