Into The Light pertains to changes we make in our lives. Stacy Poulos does an amazing job of transforming Sarah Smith's words into a meaningful visual. The mashup gives the viewers an insight into some production techniques. The locations for shooting are interesting and fantastic and there are moments of humour during production. Well done ladies, well done
At times we've all had to let go of something from our lives and in doing so we gain hope for a new beginning. This is a beautifully scripted, well-produced love story that addresses some of the challenges we may face in a relationship. The chemistry between the main characters is intense yet natural. There are degrees of conflict that most of us have encountered and even though this is a lesbian relationship, these conflicts and interactions hold true in most relationships. The actors compliment each others roles and so you can identify with the characters. The story is told without embellishment(to simply fill time) so it is not a long film and with the way we cherish our time, this works well. Nicely done, a precise, pleasant and lovely film.
This film contained an interesting outlook on the harshness of the rock and roll business. It features a large variety of artists with varying degrees of exposure. The story line is weak at times, but the point gets across very effectively. I think this movie set could have been located anywhere, such as New York, Chicago, L.A. etc. and the bands would have faced the same challenges. The fact that it was filmed in Toronto makes it more palatable, because I am Canadian. The main actor/singer Shasa Ormond (Goldi) has potential both as an actor and singer. Hopefully we will be seeing more of her talents in the near future. It was a fun movie to watch and I am looking forward to the release of the DVD.
