Well, season 5 is upon us and I don't care to watch the rest of it. I watched most of the first season and thought I would vomit if Martha McCully gushed at David Bromstead's naked chest just one more time. At least HGTV got wise and hired real interior designers this season.
However, I'm still not seeing what I want to see from the designers - what each one can and cannot do on their own. It seems HGTV isn't willing to put out the money to showcase each of the designers until the very last challenge. The designers get one "white box" challenge in the beginning and then work in teams the rest of the season. I know it is important to make sure the designer that gets the show can work well with others, but really, couldn't we see that in a couple of group/team challenges? David Bromstead is really boring on his show (don't know how he got renewed, but then again, I turn him off when his show comes on). I liked Kim Myles but HGTV didn't give her a good show and I don't see Antonio anywhere. I'm sure I'm missing one of the winners. All the rest are so much better than Bromstead and have more personality.
Very disappointed. Don't even see the point in watching the rest of this season.
