I have watched thousands of romantic movies, but none of them moved me the way Peak Season did. It is so realistic that you feel like you're the one living each moment of the film. Heartbroken and nostalgic are the words that come to mind when the end credits roll, and you feel something has changed inside of you.
The acting by the lead actors is top-notch and tender. They portray the characters' vulnerability with ease. The stunning mountainous and green shooting locations act as characters of their own within the storyline.
Slow-paced at first, the film grows on you, and you end up smiling and crying at the same time as it finishes.

A potentially great movie spoilt by unnecessary love angle. This one is a sheer waste of time and money. After a good opening sequence, the film turns into an assault on all senses. While background score in the film is too loud, excessive use of red in the movie starts hurting your eyes after a point.
Despite all those non-stop and over the top VFX, the film's commitment to its subject is problematic. Acting by lead pair and direction is average. Only Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna try to save this film with their genuine acts. In short, it is a pointless film that has nothing to do with ancient Indian culture. Misleading promotions and very average acting are other flaws that make it a disappointment of another scale.

It shows the brutal side of being different in a patriarchal society like India. Heart-wrenching performances by Ritwick Chakraborty and Riddhi Sen who did go the extra mile to justify their characters' emotional journey.
If you like watching realistic cinema, this one shouldn't be missed. At times, you don't even need to read subtitles simply because each emotion is portrayed and lived beautifully by key players.
