  • It's a really well made film, it's just not enjoyable to watch.

I don't know how to feel about this movie. On one hand I think it's directed, acted, and written really well. I also think its really brave and very unbiased in how it portrays the characters. The fantasy is having the heroes always be victims and have the villains be the ones who commit the crimes. This films showcases all the characters on an equal level. You don't agree with a lot of what they do but you understand them. This is what Karan is so fantastic at. He's so excellent at writing characters. I just find it an extremely difficult watch. I don't really know what the film could've done to fix it though. Make Pretty and Abhishek more villainous? Give them a happier ending? Although that would make it an easier and more enjoyable film with easier to root for leads, the way this film is, is realistic and it's why it's so strong. So I can't ask it to do that. I appreciate this film a lot and I respect it, I just think it's not nice to watch. I give it a 7/10

Don't go in expecting a charming, fun, comforting rom com. This is more of a hard hitting drama sprinkled with a lot of wit and comedy.

  • Season 1 starts getting good but the finale ruins it.

Maybe the first few episodes of this season aren't the strongest. They're a little goofy and silly, but I still enjoyed them because I think they kept things fun and exciting and did a good job at introducing us to the characters and all the various mysteries. Then we get a run of genuinely great episodes with Boom, 73 Yards, and Dot and Bubble. Which in my opinion are among some of best episodes of the show. Maybe each of them in the top 40 or something (73 Yards in my top 10). We then get into the finale which has an absolutely incredible part 1 with one of the best cliffhangers the shows ever had, and sets the stage for the finale really well. It all starts ramping up in quality and hype and looks like it's gonna end really well too! But...

Then we get the finale and it all goes downhill. This season hypes up and builds up many different mysteries and at the end not only are many of them left unanswered, the answers we do get are completely nonsensical and very unsatisfying. A reveal doesn't have to be predictable but it needs to fall in line with all the hints and set ups that are laid beforehand. The biggest reveal at the end of this season, however, comes out of nowhere. It goes for emotional effect but when it makes this little sense and is this anticlimactic it doesn't work at all. I'll also say many many other things about the finale are massively disappointing but won't get into spoilers. It's probably the most disappointing finale the shows ever had.

If this season had nailed the finale, or even done a decent job of it id probably give this season a 9/10. As of now. It's a 5/10.

  • A mostly great season that ends with the worst season finale of the shows history.
