  • It is too little for the investment of time to watch

Its not that it is bad, but there is so little surprise or interest or statements to justify a 90 minute run time. It is more like a 15 minute short story stretched out, but that wouldn't work as the characters need space to deliver whatever this is.

Admittedly I watched all of it and was not bored, so the actors were solid and managed to carry the film, but they had so little to work with,

The Scifi element is very minor just enough to create the situation. It is not about special effects, though the aliens did make me laugh, as it was a flashback I am not sure if they are supposed to be symbolic or an actual experience.

And am not even sure what the film is trying to say, I suppose it is a character driven exploration of relationships.

  • Cant cope with the animation

I don't know anything about animation but it looks seriously cheap and form over substance you even have have low framerate animation, it is ridiculous.

Then you have jump cuts for no reason.

It is zoomed in like a soap opera with face shots so you cant even see the action and when there is action it will focus on a small part of it like their foot or a hand.

It feels very commercial with the animators trying to be "artsy" and it is just feels like a like a money decision to copy some better show style.

It is also very action'ary, I watched about 20 minutes and it is action with no real character development.

But that animation style was painful if you are ok with the style then sure, aliens interesting fights, etc.

And if you look at all the paid advertising they have put a lot of effort into promoting "the animation is amazing" so all the sheep are parroting the same line.

  • Can see why it bombed in the ratings

    Its bad.

Its really bad I didn't like the actors.

    The script was bad.

    The directing was bad.

Who in this reality would release this to real theatres. It is not even good enough for online.

Most of the action scenes were off camera until that last one.

It had silly scenes, like Kerry Washington getting in a punching/slug match with 2 people, she is 50 years, while 90% of it was off camera, it was still silly. I can only imagine how bad it looked that they only showed the back of her head for a few minutes of it bouncing around.

Even the opening scene, somehow our unarmed main action star takes out a roomful of people with automatic weapons, because he is just that tough. Well I assume he did because they are all dead, and he walks away but it was all off camera so hard to tell.
