Reviewers rating this poorly are missing the point: it's a brilliant and visually stunning send-up of so many movies and even TV shows. The half-human half-wolf hero hails back to the crossbreeds of Jessica Alba's Dark Angel. The scene of them flying around downtown while being shot at is a mock of Marvel's Avengers grand finale, and even of the flying escape pods in SpyKids 4, another Jessica Alba vehicle, and of course, the Rise of the Silver Surfer, another Alba film. I'm sure I'm missing other easter eggs, since I've not seen every film every made, or even every one with Alba. But watch this film as a parody, send-up, or perhaps homage to a great genre of sci-fi, and you'll change your rating from 1 to 10 too.
