Most artists dream their entire lives about creating something that will leave an indelible mark on the world. Tauginas and team absolutely accomplished that with 'Standing Eight'.
Hands down, one of the most entertaining documentaries I've ever seen. The film, while perhaps set out to make an audience laugh, will inevitably make you go through every emotion in the book. Kid Cohen tells the story of a young man simply trying to find his way in the world. From trying to be a professional kickboxer, to co-running his ow fitness studio, to becoming a real estate agent, if you can imagine a job, this guy has done it... WITH HEART. I was glad I got to see this film at the recent Long Island City Chain Film Festival and got a chance to meet some of the fine people behind this piece. For telling a story we can all relate too, kickboxer or not, I tip my hat to the filmmakers. All in all, a must see.
