Ever been forced to sit through a romantic comedy, your wife/girlfriend bawling her eyes out over their quirky cute meet while you're bored, rolling your eyes but have to seem like you're engaged so you can lock in the sex after? So you start imagining scenarios that would make the movie more interesting.
"I wish someone would just pop into this movie and just start murdering everyone" that would be awesome.
Well this is that movie.
Not to say it's not enjoyable for her either because the corny rom com tropes are there to be engaging enough for her to connect with and it's funny enough that you have a great time. I expect "romantic slasher" may me a new genre but this will always be the granddaddy of it.

I can understand other reviewers issues with the show but aren't we forgetting this is TV and not reality? The show takes place on a cruise ship and it's a medial drama, two unusual things to mash up. I think it's great that they're trying to make tv fun in a lately overly serious time.
Never really watched Greys Anatomy but House was really interesting albeit off the wall. House would have been fired every week IRL. The Love Boat was off the wall but at the end of the show always ended on a high note. There's opportunity for this show to go in a lot of different directions, I'm gonna give it a shot. I enjoyed what I saw so far.

I would swear that the writer and director traveled from the 80s, filmed this and went back. Not only is the set and clothing design spot on, but the story structure,, pacing , characters,, Al nail 80s movies perfectly.
I saw it with my 15 yo daughter and thought she may find it a bit over the top because well that's what movies were like in the 80s. Storylines exaggerated, over the top characters..etc. But she loved it and felt it was different from alot of current movies where storylines are plagued with current day politics and dour social messaging. The movie is just fun. Go see it, especially if you loved movies like weird science .
