  • why is this 2 hours long?

I have seen Terrifier 1 and i enjoyed it. It was cheesy, short, straight to the point and fun to watch. This is the polar opposite. We got a movie that takes over 1 hour for something interesting to happen. I couldn't wait for it to end because i just lost the reason to care about anything going on, when nothing happened in the 1st 1 hour. All of our characters are unlikeable which is a bad thing, because you want characters that you will like and care for. The only character i really cared for was Sienna. Every other character was a douche and i couldn't care less about them. However, the gore effects are pretty good, the music score is decent we got decent music here playing, the acting is fine. Honestly, everything here works, except the writing. The writing here killed what made the 1st Terrifier such a fun watch. Being a short and sweet splatter horror film that lasts an hour. You really do not need it to be dragged to 2+ hours for no reason! Also, i'll say that Sienna needs her own movie. Her character as the warlord chick that needs its own gore splatter movie i am sure that would be much better then what we have here. Is this movie good? Technically sure, plot wise no. At this point, i'd just go and watch Planet Terror, SAW 3, Hostel, Cube, Machine Girl, Terrifier 1 etc there's much better alternatives then what we got here.

  • Yeah no.

CLIP is a movie i have knew of for about 3-4 years. I finally gave it a shot, and it wasn't good, mainly because the movie has no plot, or structure.

The basic story is that Jasna our main lead, is a little brat and she only cares about going to clubs and her boyfriend. While her family is trying to live a normal life. I'll tell you right now, i did not care about Jasna at all. Why? Because she is written in a way that you'll just grow to hate her because she is just ruthless towards her whole family, including her dad that has leukemia.

What about our other characters? I am going to be honest, the only likeable character in this entire movie is the mother, and the girl in the facility. Those are your two only characters that you will care for. But even that fails because they barely have any depth. Actually, none of our characters have any depth, even Jasna, she barely has any depth, let alone other characters...

In all honestly, half of this movie is just partying, drugs and intercourse. If that's fun to you great, but it's not for me because you need a plot in order for a movie to be good.

I'll tell you that there we're two powerful scenes in this movie, one is when Jasna is at the orphanage, and the other scene was when she was talking to her mom. Those are the only two powerful scenes in this...

Half of this movie can be cut and we'd have a better film, and if we had any buildup on Jasna, how did we get to this point, that would help, instead of just watching her party, and have intercourse 1 hour.

In the end, if you want to watch Serbian teens going through puberty and drugs, and all of this lunacy, go watch Skinning 2010 or The Wounds. Both of the movies i just listed tower over this one.

  • That was a dark watch...

I have seen similar movies to this one like Lilya4Ever, Your name is Justine and Christine P to name some. Comapred to the 3 movies i just listed, this movie is from start to finish just Sofia (our main character) going through hell.

I'll tell you right now, both the acting and the camera quality aren't the greatest. Our main actress that plays Sofia, like she seems so calm when she entered the place she'll work at, i think her acting could of been better honestly. However, that does not break the fact that this is a pretty well made movie. We have a story that keeps rolling, and you will keep caring about Sofia and just wish she gets out of this mess.

I'll tell you right now, this movie does not need to be nearly 2 hours long. I think you could cut like 20 minutes out of this movie and i think it would of flowed a bit better. There's a few scenes in this, that are just there to drag the movie, like the scene when the two brothers are training, that scene is literally just put there to drag the movie. If we cut needless scenes from this movie, it would just make a pretty good movie even better.

I'll tell you that i was not bored during this entire movie at all, minus the last 20 minutes because you kinda get the picture how it will end. I really like the pitch black ending of this movie, how Sofia even though she is free, she is still stuck with the same people that ruined her existence. I also like the philosophical question this movie asks (think about it).

I am pretty sure this movie was inspired by Lilya4Ever, i can see similarities between these two movies, and both movies are pretty good in their own regards. Yea give this one a shot, it's a pretty well written movie, with a bit of a wacky acting but regardless it still gets its point across.
