To this day I have no idea how I got through season 1. The grubbiness, the yelling, the chaos. Gave it a shot though, and I used to be proud of myself that I was able to sit through this.
Season 2 provided some pay off to all of that dysfunction from the first season, with some excellent episodes (Forks!!). This season made me love The Bear and I rated it 9/10 back then.
Season 3 was a buffer season - okay by me as long as you deliver in the next season. Side note: I still remember the opening episode with that repetitive piano music and excellent vibe, feeling like a well deserved spa day after two seasons of hard labor. It showed me that the show runners were capable of contrast and dynamics like no other TV show I ever watched.
Thus we come to season 4 - which, at the day of writing this review, is supposedly the final season.
Season 4 meandered somewhat at first as it was building up potential. The writer in me could sense resolutions coming, with some conflicts thrown in along the way; to stall and keep the public watching and engaged. All good.
Too much Sydney though, which I won't get into.
And then. That finale was dissapointing. Like to the point that I can't believe that this is the end. So many balls that were thrown up in the air, that never came back down. Utterly unresolved. Characters suddenly regressing into that season 1 immaturity .. ? It seemed disrespectful to the audience, and disingenuous to the story, to the universe that was created around these characters. I felt like the time I invested in this show was ultimately wasted.
So my advise is: to watch this series, leave the last episode alone (season 4 episode 10) and make it up from your own imagination.
Somehow though this "ending" makes me hopeful that we might have another season after all.
I'm leaving my rating up at 7/10 for now because it feels like the proper score.
Regardless of that final episode, there is still a lot to like and love about this show.

I keep coming back to this movie. I love it so much. The way it was made. The quality of the writing. The story. The acting. The cast. The staging and blocking. The music and costumes. The cinematography, and it being shot on film. Everything is on point.
The world of baseball doesn't interest me at all. Neither does sports. But this movie, and this story; a home run.
How to make a truly great movie is a mystery. Even to people in the industry. It is not because all of the elements are there, that success is guaranteed. Sometimes though the stars align. And in case of Moneyball, in my universe at least it was an all-star night.
A sincere thank you to everyone involved in this production and work of art. You have achieved greatness with this one.

Didn't expect much of this movie seeing the average score of 5.6 at the time before I watched it.
Yet I found a movie that was surprisingly rewarding to watch.
In terms of production, sure it missed a couple of beats. But nothing fatal really, and giving it a shot I'm happy I did.
Highly recommended if you like suspense, and a heart felt subplot to boot.
