Season 1 was pretty tame, and I didn't feel it gave off soap opera vibes, but I'm in season 4 now, and the over-the-topness off all the drama for such a small town is a little laughable; to the point now where I'm waiting for someone to come back from the dead (not really, but I wouldn't be surprised, to be honest).
The scenery is the absolute best. Where they film is some of the most beautiful landscapes found, and I thoroughly love all the gratuitous B-roll shots.
It's hard to not give away too much in my explanation of this. It's still a pretty wholesome show, but the eye rolls have certainly become more frequent.

I get it. I embraced the cheese factor (for Henry's sake), but then it kept going. I mean, kudos to the twists because they were coming about like a tennis match, but the embraced cheese turned Nickelodeon-like, and I only finished because it was playing in the background while I worked.
I was a pretty solid 6 stars for a long time. Then I changed to a 5, and then at 3/4 I changed to a 4.
The list of actors is impressive. I really do like Bryce Dallas Howard, and Sam Rockwell. The plot is actually pretty interesting too, but the movie just didn't win me over. At all. I got bored, and I cringed, and that's so disappointing.
The last 30 seconds before the credits was okay.
Bottom line: I was there for Henry.

Yes, I got over the fact that Murphy is a horrible, no-good person. Yes, I got over the fact that half the time it's unbelievable that she is even blind. Yes, I enjoyed Season 1-mostly for Pretzel and Max.
Season 2 was too much. Seriously, I understand that it's a TV show and drama and whathaveyou are necessary, but there's a point where it just becomes too much. Toning it down a bit would have made just as much drama without the eye rolls.
Season 3 is just so bad, for me. I'm sticking with it, because I'm invested and I'm hardheaded.
If there's ever a survey on who the most unlikeable characters in television history are and Murphy is not one of them, then I'm calling bull.
Obviously this is just my opinion.
