This is just bad.
The storyline is ridiculous. So, A bomb goes off in LA , and suddenly everyone across the US is just homeless and starving with no other option than to stand in the dirt outside the fence of this place and look concerned?
The premise is silly. The acting isn't great. The dialogue is eye rolling inducing
There's no real Explanation as to who these people that own the homestead are , why they have prepped all of this , why he had a military group on call to Come to the homestead at a moments notice ...
Then !! We find out this wasn't just a super bad movie , but a super bad pilot to a super bad series ? So there's no super bad resolution to this dumpster fire.

This was a decent very low budget Indy cheesy horror flick. If you keep your expectations at that level , it's not TERRIBLE. The acting is pretty bad at points , especially the Mike character
The main drawback I have that started in the opening scene is these are supposed to be high school bullies and they look like they are in their late 20's - early 30's. They didn't even attempt to age them down.
The scenery is good 80's fun. All the paper Halloween decorations and the whole vibe felt very much like when I was a kid
Plot is fine. Nothing spectacular, but fun enough
Dr death carries the movie. He's a great actor And the mask was fairly cool.

I vaguely recall watching this a few times probably on HBO when it first came out and I remember liking it.
Home sick this week and scrolling prime and decided to watch a bunch of old horror. Glad I stumbled on this again. It's not a blockbuster thriller , but it's a solid little horror flick.
Love seeing Ron Livingston , Amy Smart , and James Marsden when they were young kids and relatively unknown.
Really liked reading a lot of the reviews on here that were written in the late 90's about the unknown actors haha
I don't really know why the character minimum is so much. It's a fun 90's horror flick with a great ending to tie it all together.
If you stumble upon it , watch it and enjoy it for what it was.
