Murderbot is one of the most original sci-fi series to come out in years. It's quirky narrative stylings result in a well paced entertaining story with a quality cast and some seriously funny black humour.
Alexander Scarasguard's nuanced performance is perfect for the titular character with some entertaining character quirks and addictions.
Apple have rewritten what a sci-fi series can and should be, with any luck this most positive of starts can continue to develop and evolve as murderbot has so much potential .
This is an unexpected classic that will help evolve and define the future of the genre, I cannot recommend more positively.

What a great animated anthology movie. The animation feels a little clunky to start with but I rapidly became accustomed to the slightly flick book effect. The plot is split in to multiple stories all combining for the final blowout.
The animation as described is a little jumpy but beautiful: it's use of colour and shade pop and emphasise the different story arcs. The voice work is great and the world building is amazing... keep an eye out for the odd nods to the past movies.
I will just emphasise that this is a bloody gruesome movie and should not be watched by children.
All in all an entertaining, scary, beautiful, gory movie that deserves love and watching.

The eighth and possibly the final Mission Impossible movie (at least staring Tom Cruise) is a non stop action packed breathless world saving explosion all wrapped up in just under 3 hour of high definition.
Cruse's swansong performance is as professional and exciting as ever: how he gets insured to perform some of cinemas most extreme stunts is beyond belief and in Final Reckoning he not only performs he sets world records! There is no doubt that they are spectacular and add the realism that TC is famous for. The plot however is a little unbelievable and I know saying unbelievable about Mission Impossible plots is ridiculous but I do feel the constant need to one up the previous movies has resulted in the unbelievable plots Mi has delivered over the years ending in a weaker final installment.
The Final Reckoning is not a bad movie and some will adore this no doubt big budget blockbuster I just feel it lacks the legs to make it a classic. I enjoyed it and will watch it again in the future but it lacks something for me: it could be the run time that even with it's non stop nature left me squirming in my chair by the end, or maybe my feeling that it was missing a bit of heart that makes a true classic.
Whatever the case it's a well made movie with great action, solid performances and is a well polished action blockbuster sure to satisfy many. I just feel it could have been more? Whatever Tom Cruise's final Mission Impossible is a watchable enjoyable blockbuster that is a satisfying conclusion to his time playing Ethan Hunt, I look forward to his future projects and wonder if the right script was offered would he choose to accept?
