I expected a fun fantasy driven movie but this was just insufferable on every level. The script sounds like someone was given the instruction to "make all of the characters sound like Bart Simpson wrote the script". Cowabunga dude. The conversation tries to be cute clever and it just results in eye roll after eye roll. There is a desperation to be cool and funny in a jerky way and it just falls flat.
The animation is so cringeworthy in some places that it would have been better to just skip the CGI.
If you want to watch a beer commercial set with an aquatic background this is the movie for you.

This is ultimate feel good TV. No sparky nasty competition here. Just genius bakers working together and being kind and supportive to one another. The hostess is incredibly successful and is incredibly kind and supportive to all of the bakers! You will fall in love with each of these guys for different reasons. If this show does not get a second through eighth season then all is lost in humanity!
