Gawd, what a decade for bad bad tv. This show epitomized the worst of the worst. Full of teen pop stars with no talent --Hollywood brats. They ooze one dimensional non personas. It'd be a disservice to try and watch these again. Just be thankful the 70s are gone and those horrid trending vapid stars along with it. And we cry about the downfall of the current Hollywood? This was the precursor to all the super crap we see today being produced. Who exactly goes to the cinema anymore anyway? ARe they so desperate to get away from their families and friends? These are for people who never left high school.
I'd heard so much about this movie over the years that when I finally saw it, I had nowhere to go but down. What a disappointing film! And why did Fonda want to do it? Everybody looks like they are spoofing on Laugh In. That horrid constant pseudo folk background minstrel show by Nat and Stubby is hard to listen to. Nat must've been given a bundle to lend his talent to this dog. All of them must've been promised pie in the sky to drag themselves around in this lame western. Is it a spoof? Is it a sendup? Is it by Mel Brooks befor ehe had any talent? Was it written in a drunken stupor? It's like Blazing Saddles without the humor or the acting abilities.
