  • Great laughs from the master of horror

Lucio Fulci is best known for his "over the top" super gory horror Flicks: Zombie, City Of The Living Dead, The Beyond etc. This on the other hand is a full-blown comedy about a senator with a compulsive Fetish for female "buttock's". Someone will have to cure him before he creates a national scandal, so where else to go than a monastery! The film is totally insane and as funny as it can be. It's great to see films that doesn't say, "Far enough, we might offend someone". Because this movie is peppered with "let's go a bit further, and even further than that, isn't it cool to offend someone?". The film is visually beautiful as well, and Fulci's famous style is very visible. The use of hand held camera, P.O.W shots and extreme close up's is used to great effect to enhance the comedic effect. Very similar to his horror style. If you're a fan of Fulci, This is a must see because it's probably one of his best films.

  • Rubbish!!!

This film is supposed be inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Black Cat". Well don't be fooled! The only thing left of Poe's original story is the black cat. The film is one of the poorest and lamest Italian films ever made! No story, no plot, no style and just nonsense throughout 90 minutes. Fact is that I love "some" of Sergio Martino's dark tales like "Torso" and "All The Colors Of The Dark". But it ends there. Martino was and are like a machine, and he's film comes in rapid succession. Some of them are pretty good and others just suck big time, this one fits nicely into the second category. So if you want to take a look into the Italian world of mystery, don't start here. Check out films like Don't Torture A Duckling(Lucio Fulci), Lizard In A woman's Skin(Lucio Fulci), Solamente Nero(Antonio Bido), Deep Red(Dario Argento), Tenebrae(Dario Argento) or the films by Sergio Martino mentioned above… Have fun!!!

  • Cool Spaghetti Western!!!

A dark, gritty and to the bone nihilistic western, that is really fun to watch. By all means one of the cheaper spaghetti's. But it's blessed with many cool scenes of violence, strange dialog and good old sleazzzzz. There's more than one moment of unnecessary nudity here. Don't take it to seriously though cause it's just a fun ride, and nothing more. The white horse Burt Collins rides is said to be the same horse that gets loaded in Cat Ballou. The actor Fred Robsahm is actually from Norway and he's currently residing in a small town called Lillesand. He does a lot of the stunt work in this movie (not just he's own). Kinski is cool as the weird lawyer that has a strange habit of transforming he's law books into deadly weapons. Great soundtrack and some nice cinematography gives the film good atmosphere and it's well worth the watch. Available on DVD from xploitedcinema
