A 30 minute short film would have stood much better chance to bring a quality to this attempt.
Crap filler scenes, action scenes from eighties. Disjointed technology. There is enough special effect technicality to show there is no shortage of talent to create a 100 times better version. Lacks vision and execution. Instead of bringing in effects from every other great hollywood movie, could have spent some time on bringing original thoughts.
Only interesting thing was the basis of the story. Revival of Mahabharata characters. Very few okay scenes and twists.
Do not waste your time or money on this film. Gives you nothing except a strong feeling to share these views with others.
Completely agree with other reviews calling it atrocious.
Story is left hanging so a sequel must be planned.
Feel sorry for the hard working people that they had to see this output of their work.

Just finished watching and I totally enjoyed watching this movie. Almost every scene of it. Glued to the couch. That's good execution by all the film crew. Actors did the job well. They were not exceptional but i guess that was intended by the director.
There are twists and turns. You hypothesise about where the story goes next but it doesn't go that way most of the time. Goosebumps always good sign.
This is good cinema. Different story for Bollywood and well executed. And who other than the bold Anurag Kashyap to direct.
I'd recommend this movie for a first time viewer who likes to watch sci fictional thrillers/ parallel universe concepts.
Aged generations may not prefer this (based on the low score given by my folks who watched alongside).
Note that I saw this movie as a first (so no pre-set expectation or a comparison baseline). Didnt know about the spanish version from 2018 and didnt know about the english version from 1965 and not the novel from 1952.
If I had known the story, then perhaps I would not have had the same experience (i.e if the stories are the same across all) Hope this helps. Enjoy.
