Not a soul was good in this film. Poor acting. Bad storyline. Editing was rancid. Plot holes all over the place. And what is with Orlock's accent? One of the worst accents I have ever heard. The story had so much potential as there is so much more variety and cinematic ability nowadays than when the original was made. Yet, this pales in comparison. The "scares" were lame, easily anticipated and felt overly forced. Wilem DeFoe was even bad in this movie, and he is a great actor. Not the worst horror movie I have seen (that title goes to Yellow Brick Road), but certainly a contender. Too bad as I was really looking forward to a good vampire movie.
This was such a great topic, but unfortunately a horrible narration and writing. More religious than scientific. Nothing short of a waste of time. So disappointing. Sad. Just sad.
So many people panned this movie because it's message was about facing the truth regardless of what has been forced fed to the masses. I saw reviews which were so hypocritical they were just sad and pathetic attempts to push their religion instead of facing and embracing the truth. What is wrong with the truth? Why is truth such a bad thing?
