I don't understand all the haters. Some of us are so done with all the gratuitous sex and violence of most shows. Give me something that makes me think and is fun. Not to mention all the wonderful actors. They had me at Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. But Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie were perfectly cast. Jonathan Price was so endearingly charming. I watch a lot of British shows (so much better than our US ones, IMO) so I recognized a lot of the supporting actors.
If you like a cozy mystery, give this shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My daughter took me to see this. She hasn't seen any of the Leslie Nielsen Naked Gun movies. I am a huge fan of them. We both enjoyed the new movie.
I have to say I was skeptical if Seth MacFarlane could recapture the humor of the originals. But he did! Nobody makes fun, stupid movies anymore. This was very true to the original in the best ways possible. A couple of "throwback" cameos for us die hard fans was fun.
My daughter was unsure at first but then she got into it. We laughed pretty hard at some of the gags. Liam Neeson was a perfect Frank Drebin, Jr. Who knew he could be so funny. Pamela Anderson was the perfect femme fatale.
I would definitely watch a sequel to this. I haven't been to a theater in 5 years. I was done with the Hollywood b.s. But this I had to see! Not disappointed at all.

This is definitely my kind of show. Not a lot of gratuitous violence and gore. But good "who dun it" stories that keep my attention. Love Stephen Moyer. Been a fan since True Blood. Nina Singh is a terrific partner for him. She's young but knowledgeable about art. They play well off each other.
The stories are varied, not just paintings but different forms of art. The episode I'm watching now is about wine. Another is about Viking treasure. And another, rare rock memorabilia. All quite interesting and well done.
I truly hope this gets renewed. Shows like this are quite enjoyable for those of us who just want a good mystery to solve without all the "grit".
