Feels like a classic Nickelodeon show all over again. This is one of the few animated Netflix shows (or movies) that is worth it. The pacing is right, the voice acting is top notch, the animation is great, and the premise is fun and adventurous. The comedy is right-on, being cute and silly without being over the top, inappropriate for kids, or painful for adults. All the characters are hilariously well-written, from the main cast to the aliens and side characters. Everyone involved in making this is brilliant, one of the few good things to watch on Netflix that actually makes a subscription worth it.

Are we serious with this series? First of all, the fake deep voice is just grating and unnecessarily dramatic. It takes away from the story. They don't actually read out the texts, they just use this annoying voice to read bits and pieces, confusing the audience. The pacing is all over the place and the story is overdramatized and overproduced.

There are SO many good documentaries on Netflix (and even free ones on YouTube) that do it right: tell a story in sequence, interview the right people, explain what happened, provide good reenactments as needed along with raw footage, conclude the story.

None of that is here. It's a joke.

I really don't know how this documentary has such good reviews. The subject and contents are interesting and worthy of a documentary, but the cinematography, execution, music, and narration in this are all terrible.

First of all the documentary is way too long (typical Netflix!) and drawn out for what could've been told in half the time.

Right away, you can barely hear what they're saying because of booming, horrible music in the background. The story is scattered all over the place and filled with emotion rather than an objective analysis with formal interviews, like most documentaries of the like. Amateurish is the best way to describe "The Program".

American Nightmare, Tinder Swindler, and Bad Surgeon were all FAR more professional and more interesting than this.
