Fans of the original twister movie made in 1996 would definitely see some resemblance in this one.
Dorothy still makes an appearance as well as the traditional pandemonium convoy of storm chasers.
Things I liked: The story is kept to the original as much as it can be, helping others while trying to understand the physics of tornados so that the information can be used in order to prevent the loss of life while using today's technologies.
An in-depth view of society and the loss that tornadoes can bring about.
Things I didn't like: Some of the characters seemed wooden and unimportant to the storyline and just seemed unnecessary.
The ending seemed rather odd, due to weather conditions her flight gets delayed and this was the only reason for her to stay? Seemed a little rushed and no thought gone into it.
I do think they missed a trick when inside the old movie theatre as the original twister movie should have been showing as a sort of homage to the original.
I found it difficult to watch because of Bill Paxton as he and Helen Hunt made the first movie.
A somewhat different but similar story, remake? Sequel? But don't think there needs to be another one!

No explanations yet as to where the aliens came from, another planet? Man made?
Stop milking the franchise!
The story is lacking and was a complete borefest so yo cut the story short, a woman with a cat finds herself in a dystopian New York and befriends a man and then hunts down her favourite pizzeria only to find it blown up and then drifts towards her dads favourite place to play music, the man takes her car and abandons the woman and she is left in a daze walking the empty streets listening to songs of yesteryears, end of story!
There really was no thought into the storyline and just seemed like an add on movie just so they didn't give the audience what they wanted, which was an explanation of some sort!
