  • GRRRRREAT!!!!

This movie is fantastic! Great direction, great script, great animation, great cast of characters! Considering how there has been a spew of family superhero films out there, this animated one is quite remarkable! And I think it works exceedingly well because it doesn't throw you into a mighty morphin mindset-- don't get me wrong I love the mighty morphin power rangers, especially the black ranger!)-- but back to this, the live people playing superheroes bit is getting old again. The new CGIs do a much terrific job, and the Incredibles is a case in point.

Bottom line, I left the movie theater wanting to see the next Incredibles movie. Even though this is a family friendly movie, there are a lot of explosions and somberness going on; but all in all, this movie has heart, comedy, and fun all rolled into two hours of incredible entertainment!

  • 2004 and still delightful!

Even though this film was released in 1985, I've recently watched it, and it is extraordinarily delightful! This is one of the most splendid French films I have ever seen! Claude Miller captivates his audience with a remarkable cast featuring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jean-Philipe 'Ecoffey, Julie Glenn, Simon de la Brosse, etc. This film is filled with a lot of coming of age angst from its main characters. It's comedic moments with the constant outbursts from Charlotte are incredibly cute but also endearing. I've never encountered quite a warm and personable film as L' Effrontee before.

In addition, L' Ecffrontee also boasts a fun theme song reminiscent of ABBA, which I desperately want to download!

  • Definitely better than the Ring!

Just finished watching this fun horror flick, and it is loaded with a lot of mini bursts of horror moments! Sam Raimi has done quite a good job at intertwining the original movie (ju on) with this version. It is unusual-- especially for such a mainstream horror blockbuster, the Grudge does a good job representing or at least putting Japan out there as a trendy one of Hollywood's source for scary movies these days.

As for the Grudge vs. the Ring... Definitely, the Grudge would be my pick. The Grudge, especially with Sam Raimi at the helm, packed a lot more rapid camera action movements(mimicking heart beats) that is classic in Raimi's films.
