I have not changed my overall rating for Designated Survivor yet, but the once exciting show has really changed way too much in it's second year.
None of the new characters or actors added this season have really added anything. I esp. hate the character playing by Paulo Costanzo.
I am not a person who has to have constant explosions or wars or anything of that sort to enjoy a show, but if more is to come out of the characters then they have to be likable or well developed characters.
I really hope the show gets back on the track of what it was in it's first year, but if recent episodes are the way things continue -- the once great show will see it's rating decrease for me.
I highly recommend the 1st season. The 2nd season just so so.

I know that most people regard this as the worst thing ever made, but I just don't see it that way. No I don't think it would win any awards for the best sitcom or comedy out there, but I do think that for just on the basis of entertainment I enjoy it. After all that is what we sometimes need is just to sit back and be entertained without having to think about anything. I think 9JKL achieves that....at least for me.
My biggest complaint I would have to say is that I am so tired of Linda Lavin playing the pushy Jewish mother. I would love to see her in a good role like she had on Alice.

I remember when I first saw this I was high on the love of Charlie's Angels and anything that the actresses from that show did. I thought this was the best thing I had ever seen. And then a few years later I saw it again without the rose colored glasses and was not as enthralled with it.
I have also recently leaned or at least reminded of a lesson I have always known -- often these shows are not as good as the books they are based on. Now the book The Users by Joyce Haber is not the greatest book out there, but it is far better than the mini-series they based on her book. Watching the mini-series and reading the book now it is almost as if they took the names from the book and wrote them a totally different story.
Forget the series and read the book.

I didn't get to see this movie in the theaters and couldn't wait until I could watch it on streaming or DVD. I had heard so many good things about it, and sometimes when that happens I get a bit of a letdown when it turns out not to be as good as the hype. This was definitely not the case with this one. The movie is a wonderful and exciting viewing experience. The highlights of my enjoyment were the performances by Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges, the wonderful score and soundtrack, and the beautiful cinematography. Everything came together great in this wonderful modern day western. A must see.
The Last Hunt is a wonderful piece of Western film making. Richard Brook's script and direction are top notch. Robert Taylor gives one of the best performances of his career as Charlie, a man who seems to be in love with killing and hatred, yet has a tender side to him brought out by the Indian girl he takes captive.
The film is a wonderful character study of two men who are totally opposite in the way they feel about killing. And so much of the conflict within the picture results from the differences in their characters.
The supporting cast is great with Lloyd Nolan and Russ Tamblyn being the standouts.
The Last Hunt is hardly ever mentioned in the great westerns, but I feel it should be. It is a great film that has been overlooked way too long. Any western fan or Robert Taylor definitely need to check it out.

I felt the film dealt well with its point of satire of what is and isn't art. But I think the film missed out on the plot or the story. In trying to or seeming to try to poke fun at the art world, it missed out on a great opportunity to reveal more about its characters and especially in playing up the rivalry between the brothers. The film wasn't bad and it was saved by very competent actors, but could have been so much more.
To me you have to really be a fan of this genre to enjoy this Spaghetti western. The biggest problem to me is the script. There are way too many plot holes that are just never explained, and questions as to why they are doing this or that. There are some good action scenes and moments. I loved the last 15 or 20 minutes of the movie just for the action alone. I will say another problem with the movie at times was the music score, which seemed way too lighthearted or comical at times for what was happening on screen turning moments that should have been played for more dramatic effect into comedy. My last problem with the movie was with the English dubbing -- at least on the version I watched. The voices seemed too alike at times as if a person not very talented was doing both parts at the same time, and didn't know how to disguise their voice well. In conclusion, I say if you are a fan of the genre, don't pass this one up. It is worth it for the action at times alone.
I had seen this title a few times, but wasn't sure it would be something I would enjoy. I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. The writing and direction of the movie are very good. I was surprised that I did not find the soap opera/romantic type drama to be predictable as these movies often are. I can say I was very surprised by the plot twist and surprise ending. My biggest criticism is that a few times it seemed to drag along, but I think the overall pace worked to discover and get to know the characters. It was a great exploration of two different couples and two different type of relationships.
After watching this I was a little shocked to see that there wasn't much interest online in what I found to be a fascinating documentary. I guess most people think a documentary -- even a short one -- focused on one piece of artwork is probably boring. I guess to some it probably would be, but for me it wasn't. I'm not even a big fan of art or never really studied art, but I have seen da Vinci's Vitruvian Man almost all my life. I never knew much about or really that it was even a work of Leonardo da Vinci. I learned a great deal about it, and found the discussion and tidbits from the British and Italian experts in the scientific and art communities to be very informative.
This was a wonderful show for the first 2 seasons (well most of the 2nd season) that just suffered from identity crisis it's last two seasons. It just didn't know what direction it wanted to go in. The original premise of the show featuring the contrast between the marriage veterans and the newlyweds was great. The performers and the characters meshed together, and for some odd reason the decision was made to shift focus to the Starks relationship with Eddie's new friend, Kenny. The character of Kenny should have never been a focus of the show -- he should have just been another one of the other friends featured from time to time in the circle. The fourth and final season was just the worse. None of the actresses that were chosen over four seasons to portray the Stark's daughter, Allison, ever worked; some of them were awful and even creepy.
In the end it goes down as one of those shows that should have ended a long time before it did. The first two seasons are still great TV sitcom worth seeing though.

When my wife, adult children and I watched this new game show offering we loved it. We loved that each segment with the children and then the parents included more than one question and more secrets were revealed from each set of partners. The show was funny and risqué.
Then the show went on a break and came back very very disappointing. Each segment was cut to only one question and they at times have been stuff that was almost boring. Even one of the early episodes was redone with the new treatment.
The series seems to only have filled the time with more advertisements as we aren't learning more about the family partnerships or anything. This was a very promising show. We sure hate to see what happened to it.
