The director etc have decided to try a novel approach to how they would convey the story to the viewer. The problem is that it actually gets in the way of the story, whilst adding nothing. The reason most either do a docu-drama or a documentary is that they work well. In this case the approach they take is a curious mixture of drama, documentary and also filming the tv show being made as if this is a documentary of the making of... The bottom line is that your focus is continually pulled away from the actual essence of this dreadful case. If you the film maker wants to try something new then they should make sure it enhances rather than distracts from the story.
Jacob Rees-Mogg and his families life that is shown here is EXACTLY as you would imagine.
If you want to know that his handkerchiefs and underwear are ironed and his children go to an expensive boarding school then may be this is for you, although frankly you didn't need to see this to know these things. Oh and his handkerchiefs are starched as well. May be this is targeted at posh people who are very very board and may be these people will like this, although you would have to be VERY board indeed.
It also tells us that really JRM is born into the wrong time in history (may be a 100 years too late) but again we already know this. Absolutely nothing new to be seen here.

I have no problem with the premise of this film as it is always touching to see young love develop in difficult circumstances (e.g. Same sex relationship at college/school), and I realise the budget was low, however it was rather too slow to develop (particularly for first 30 minutes) and should have introduced more character development and back story.
I agree with others that the age of the actors was a bit old to be playing 18-year-olds although this was not a showstopper. The cinematography and audio were both good for a low budget film as were the locations. The chemistry between the two leads was excellent. The dialogue in places was a bit unnatural. Otherwise pretty good and I enjoyed it.
