Right, first off I've never seen the original so I wont be comparing the 2 films, and secondly I not too good with the history of directors, producers and the like so you wont be reading how much I liked their previous. This is just my own opinion on the film. Just like any ordinary film goer.
This film rocks! I haven't laughed so much at a film in a while. Its your typical slasher, you know whats gonna happen horror with the odd bit of dark humour splashed around.
The plot, in a nutshell, follows 2 groups of mates and a couple on spring break heading for the beach but, wouldn't you know it, take a De-tour and head up in a wacky little town called Pleseant Valley just in time, phew, for the annual Guts'n'Glory Jubilee, where they are crowned guests of honour by Freddie Kruger! Well, not him really, but the one and only Robert Englund.
From the scene at the garage before they get to PV where there is an hilarious reference to Deliverance, I knew it was going to be a good film, and it was.
The film then begins to take shape and each character in turn is killed in some nut cringing shape or form. Splashstick at its best.
Its Deliverance meets Cabin Fever meets Body Melt and any other gory teen movie out there that I cant remember at the moment.
If you not gonna be laughing at nearly every scene then your gonna love all the hot women that at some point get their tits out! Wahey! Watch it now, but if your reading this, you probably already have, so watch it again!
