Yes, I've been recommending a fictional recounting of the Salem Witch trials over this "docu" series, because it offers more historical accuracy, actually digging into motives and the reality of the situation.
I agree with almost everything jediinfidel said in their review here - they really took the words out of my mouth. However, I will say in defense of most of the talking heads, I blame the editing more than them. (Comments like "Everyone believed in witches then!" aside.)
And, I just don't understand the point in watering down the true stories - they are much more interesting than whatever this is! Very sanitized, very superficial, victim-blaming rather than actually digging into the events around the events.

Uncomfortably bad dialogue and illogical decision-making with clumsy "character development" ruin what could be a fun show.
So far this is the only show I have liked on Quibi. Each episode is a mouth-watering serving of local history garnished with passionate craftsmanship and a healthy heaping of love.
