I'm pretty happy with how 28 Years Later turned out. Big fan of 28 Days Later, but felt 28 Weeks Later was much weaker. This is 100% Danny Boyle through and out, and it's different from the first two movies. Some interesting editing choices and "infected" sequences, as well as taking unexpected turns here and there. The performances are all fantastic, some themes and philosophies being tackled here were great, and there were some good emotional/character driven scenes too. The pacing is varied and I like it being a film of this genre taking risks. The sequel hook I personally liked the potential it could have, and I can't wait to see the next one and potential third film will bring.

Doesn't anybody else notice this I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! It's literally 99% the exact same movie as the 2010 Animated original. What the hell is up with all these super high ratings for this one yet the Lilo & Stitch remake actually changing significant things gets all the hate and this one gets a free pass for being almost shot-for-shot the exact same? The movie looked bland and borderline unwatchable in dark sequences, it was boring to me because it was almost the exact same thing with maybe a bit of dialogue changed here and there, and yet somehow it's almost 30 minutes longer? Like how? It's baffling why anyone would bother with this. The original still holds up and this movie was like 75% CGI anyways. The dragons were alright I guess, as well as the music, but what was the point of this movie? Don't waste your money or time on this one, I'm serious.

When A Minecraft Movie was initially announced, I'm going to admit it didn't look too promising so I had low expectations going into this. To be honest, this was actually better than expected and had more effort put into it than I thought. It's kinda cringey in places and the movie's scenes outside the "Minecraft" world are significantly worse than the game stuff, but as a Video Game Movie adaptation it did the world of Minecraft and gameplay mechanics well, as well as implementing them into a narrative. Humour is more miss than hit, but yeah all things considered it could've been much worse and is one of the better Video Game Movie adaptations if you don't look as it as like high art and just a fun silly blockbuster.
