  • This movie satisfies the 1950s SciFi fan in me in every way

The is the 8th movie made my Christopher R. Mihm, all of which pay loving homage to those wonderful B 'monster' movies of the 1950's. Well, except one which is really a murder mystery. If you love watching Them or Robot Monster, seeing actors like John Agar and Richard Carlson on the screen, being amazed at the world of 50's style special effects (only better I think), you can't help but love Mr. Mihm's movies. The Giant Spider is his best one yet! There is drama, humor, action, love and thrills to satisfy all. It is obvious that everyone involved with the making of this movies truly loves what they are doing. Be prepared to laugh out loud, to cringe in 'fear', and to just enjoy a little over an hour of fun!!!!! This is a must see!

  • Not A bad little indie film - a fun B movie

Though an obviously low budget film, this movie is quite fun. The story is somewhat predictable until you get to a good surprise ending. The actors range from amiable new actors to some seasoned vets who give quite good performances. This is a fun movie for an afternoon matinée or an evening of popcorn and horror. I was at the world premiere where the movie and its cast were given the full star treatment - red carpet, limo and lots of flashing lights. This was well received by an audience full of fans of the genre who really appreciated what George and Louise Baker had created. If you are a horror fan, give this one a try. It's a real treat! One fun little note - pay attention in the diner. The kids talk to a waitress while food and drinks sit on the table and in the next scene, the waitress brings the drinks, then the food to the table. But not many mistakes like this. This is the first movie produced by Tales By Firelight and I am hopeful it will not be the last!

  • Very different and fantastic movie!!

Twists you will never imagine make every minute of this movie intriguing and fascinating to to watch. The acting is amazing and the director has creating a thrilling masterpiece. As you learn more about the characters in this film, things change, making you wonder if you were paying enough attention. Jason Scott Campbell is an amazing actor who keeps the level of intensity high as he winds his way through the maze of events in this film. You will be going between thinking he is the only sane one in the film to wondering how people could not know he is totally nuts. Or is it him? Or another director? Or the college professor? The cinematographer? Everyone is suspect at some time during the movie. This is one nightmare I would be screaming to wake up from.
