  • Definitely more rom than com but a decent watch

I think people forget how good an actor Lindsay Lohan is, and in this she is great. All of the acting is, especially the male lead (I forgot his name)..As far as Christmas Rom Coms go, it's very watchable and very entertaining, yes it's silly and its never going to win any awards but isn't that what Christmas movies are about?

It's a story about two people who were too young, too headstrong and just didn't work. Fast forward a decade and they find themselves at a family Christmas do, having unknowingly dated two siblings.

I would have liked there to be more comedy but there are funny moments, and it's feel good , which is what we all need more of at Christmas!

  • This is a really good film about an absolutely awful thing.

This won't be an easy watch, in fact, some scenes are just too horrifying to even watch, because we know what happens to some of the poor souls who are held hostage with Daniel. I still cannot comprehend how humans can be so horrible to their fellow man, I suppose that is the point, they saw them as subhuman purely based on their nationality.

This film is excellently acted, the lead actor who plays Daniel is just superb, you can feel every single emotion, you can feel the terror, the hopelessness.

It's one of those films that will stay with you long after, I wonder how one would go on living having gone through such trauma but they do, thankfully, and live to tell the world what happened.

    Watch this film.

  • Absolutely enthralling and incredible mini series

This was one of the most engaging, interesting, heart breaking documentaries I have ever watched. The actors are just superb, so much so at times I forgot they were lip-syncing and weren't actually speaking those words. The words are from recordings made of people who experienced the battle for Normandy. This series tells the story of D Day up to the liberation of Paris, from both the allied side, the German side and the French civilians. It's always more poignant when you think that these were just normal men, called up to do their duty to their country, having probably never thought about what war actually would be like, and then thrust into hell. The actors are so so good, the emotion they are able to convey from the words from those who were there.

This documentary shows how it affected everyone, and how the battle of Normandy was won.

I would recommend watching this more than any other documentary I've seen. It was absolutely magnificent.
